NRS Velocity Watershoe
Velocity
New for 2015, NRS looks to be moving
aggressively into the footwear market taking on 5.10 and Astral with their new
Velocity and Crush water shoes. I have
not seen them in person but, the new Velocity definitely looks to be a great
competitor as a boot style river shoe.
Here is some info on the
·
Rugged
DWR-coated ballistic nylon canvas upper shrugs off harsh terrain.
·
Abrasion-resistant
rubber overlays on toe, heel and sidewalls adds long-term durability.
·
Super
sticky, siped rubber outsole provides excellent wet and dry traction.
·
Gusseted
neoprene tongue keeps debris out, and neoprene padding cushions the ankle.
·
Drainage
ports in the sidewall swiftly drain water away.
·
High-strength
tubular laces
·
Marking
sole.
·
Colors:
Gray/Red or Black
MSRP will be $109.95 which is in line
with the 5.10 Water Tennie’s and Astral Rassler’s
Hopes for the Velocity:
· - A
sole as sticky if not better than the 5.10 Water Tennie’s
· - Outer
material that will not fall apart and will stand the test of time.
Expected for sale in March.
Also new the NRS Crush.

I have not been impressed with the quality of the NRS shoes I've purchased in the past. They typically have fallen apart after one season.
I hear you and understand. With changes that have taken place in NRS I am hoping this shoe will be better than previous NRS shoes.
